Re: NTHCBSBH Northampton v Leinster, Fri Dec 9th

A few weeks ago I think the board were seriously thinking that Jim could get this sorted . They might still be thinking the same way for all I know Respectfully, I think they are mistaken. Jim has lost the (mainly loyal) support he has garnered over the past 10 years. And if he were to search his h...

Re: NTHCBSBH Northampton v Leinster, Fri Dec 9th

Was at Franklin's Gardens last night and am feeling a tad depressed this morning. Fair play to Leinster - think you won at a canter and had plenty more up your sleeve if an opposition had turned up. And your supporters were a credit to the club/province. Loads of noise, loads of song, plenty of colo...

AIs are a few weeks too soon for Callum Clarke to play his way in to the squad? Is this extraordinary enough to call up Underhill yet? You wouldn't want him anywhere near the squad. All Saints players currently infected with a sh i te virus whereby any rugby skills accrued over the past 10-15 years...

Just bringing in a new backs coach won't solve the bigger issue of players being past their sell-by date. However, King hasn't demonstrated he can manufacture anything creative with what he has got.

Just finished watching that horror show. The positives: - Nearly everything. We looked like a proper rugby team again, with good invention, decent attacking lines, etc. Both Groom and Kessel were excellent at 9, Mallinder was good at 12 (and his defence wasn't as bad as it has been), and with some ...

Clark got a cap in the WC warm-ups. Was mediocre Indeed he was. But worth another look (once he gets fit and playing well)? That's a big if. Where England's governance failed was in its persistent failure to appoint a proven, top class coaching team. Finally they got Eddie on board and fortunately he has been able to assemble something amounting to a coaching team, but it's been a bit of "beg, borrow and steal". Aside from that, I don't...

I've noticed an increasingly common trend on this forum. When a country is doing badly, or under-performing at test level, it has become de rigueur to blame the coaching. I had one of these in the late '80's, cost me £150 and took me and my then gf from London to Caithness.
