We've seen how the PRC act with theft of intellectual property, Hong Kong actions, the way they handled the covid outbreak, the Uighur camps, its strong arming of Australia. It's not a great time to be increasing ties with them. As an independent & sovereign entity, the EU will act as it pleases.
