Re: Rugby resolves Middle East peace process
I know the Israel coach very well and he is a great person who will (has)instill good values amongst the players. He strongly believes in the idea of not only developing great rugby players but also developing them as great humans.

Re: SA rugby return to play
Alberts really impressed me with his work rate throughout the tournament, he definitely earned his salary. Bosch was a disappointment to me. He is turning into a two trick pony. Long kicks at poles and plenty of distance with his long range kicks but the rest of his game has not developed and in som...

Re: SA rugby return to play
That was some of the poorest rugby I have had the displeasure of watching. The WP forwards could just not execute with all the dominance in the first half. Also a lack of discipline by some the players. No continuity or execution of backline moves. The only positive was the heart shown by the Sharks...

Re: SA rugby return to play
My feeling is the Bulls are more suited to "finals" type rugby and will grind the Lions down. WP I expect will play it tight. My concern is the WP kicking game. We cant match the distance Bosch makes with his kicks and I expect one of the key plans will be to kick the ball directly out rather than f...

Re: SA rugby return to play
Great win for Cheetahs rugby. Showed a lot of desire and grit. Sharks looked very disjointed maybe due to not practicing enough as a result of Covid protocols? Dissapointing by them. Tight five struggled again.

I dont know if its true (dont want to slander anyone) but I heard that his wife or family owned some of the properties that the students were housed in (and paid from this money)at inflated rentals/food costs. Re: SA rugby return to play
I enjoyed both games this week-end as a neutral. The Lions just seem to have loads of gees and enjoying themselves. The Sharks forward pack struggled in particular the front row - although I am a believer that all 8 players carry the responsibility and not just one prop.

Re: SA rugby return to play
Not surprised with those. Sharks & Bulls the biggest poachers. You a bit worried about the sight of Kolisi in a Sharks jersey? I have a feeling this is all related to the USA expats who want to buy WP. The press are reporting that they are now also talking to the Sharks about buying in and you also...

I was really looking forward to the Sharks/Stormers, one of my favourite fixtures but it is what it is. The other good news is that the Varsity Cup fixtures are out (it kicks off on Monday 8 March)and that will give some younger players the opportunity to get some game time soon. At this stage proba...

I only caught the last 25 minutes but the Sharks have a good pack of forwards and look a well coached team. WP were very disappointing. Re: SA rugby return to play
I watched both under 21 games via live streaming. WP were totally outplayed by the Bulls but towards the end seemed to realise that playing fast open rugby is the best way to beat this Bulls team. The Sharks to me were a better side but seemed to be very arrogant in the way they celebrated every sma...

Oom have to agree with you that Morne was by far the best flyhalf on show. We have to look to the future however so no good in selecting him at this stage of his career but certainly would love him as a mentor to some of the young flyhalves. Re: SA rugby return to play
Jens, what is your feeling on that Lions team. Nice backline but I have a feeling they may struggle up front. I have a feeling the Lions will adopt a fast and frenetic style of play, the Stormers maybe being a bit more structured and trying to slow down the pace? Word from the Stormers camp is that ...

The Kings have the potential to succeed more than the other regions (Puma/Griquas). They have just been poorly managed and had too much political interference.
