Re: NZ Politics Thread

I don't think the Greens are in free fall, a couple of bad eggs doesn't mean the whole party is rotten. I just agree with other posters that they set the bar so high with their holier than thou preaching to the rest of us that a couple of incidents as serious as these two makes them look really bad...

Cast your mind back a few years Booji when National were in free-fall. Every party has the problem because most politicians are narcissistic trough-swillers who think that laws and rules are meant to be ignored by them. Yeah but they are the only party claiming to be more woke than than the some of the left virtue signalers on this thread. Just started getting back into exercises that aren't physio (knee replacement just before Christmas) or a bit of walking (i.e. a few km). Right now it's a bit of a lamester effort with embarrassingly light weights, truth be told: 4 sets of pull-ups, 3 sets each of machine chest press & machine seat...

I myself have changed up my training style in the last 18 months substantially. I'm nearing 50 and I decided that at my age I wasn't really interested in going for big strength gains as it doesn't really help my life to have a big 1rm squat if it's gonna fudge up my joints and connective tissue. Mate, 5kg of muscle is a BIG step in that timeframe. Suspiciously big….. TBF, I'd been trying to lose weight prior to getting back into it so a portion of that is probably just regaining muscle and holding more water - I doubt I've actually put on 5kg of new muscle, but yeah am getting good results...

Righto plums. You units have inspired me. All this talk of being strong and shit…… Last year I went hard (consistently) and finally saw some gains in the gym.
