Re: Sydney.... fvcked

I would prefer it done another way. Basically, people are told "we are opening borders on day XX." Day XX corresponds to a date that has allowed time for everyone in the country to be vaccinated with both shots. If you elect not to get vaccinated then its your choice, and you will need to live with ...

Florida has higher daily stats than in Dec/Jan and DeSantis bans mask mandates in schools. WTF! What are there health services like? Overwhelmed? Oh, and masks don’t really add or take away anything . Bold claim. These researchers beg to differ following their systematic review and subsequent meta ...

You can dive a little deeper and check states if the US. Some of these have death rates approaching 0.3%. New Jersey for instance. I think Peru’s is up around 0.5% now.. What is key is that IFR changes dramatically. If the population is older it changes, if the medical facilities are inundated it ch...

Re: Sydney.... fvcked

The CDC has a best estimate of Covids IFR of 0.68%. The range i have read from dozens of studies is somewhere between 0.2% and over 1%. It seems to have a median around 0.5%. 1968 had an IFR estimate of between 0.1% and 0.2%. The very lowest Covid estimate is around the very highest estimate of 1968...

Re: Sydney.... fvcked

There are plenty of studies, and most are falling on an IFR of 0.5%, which is 5 times worse than a bad flu, and 3 to 5 times worse than the 1968 event. Covid is also more infectious so more people will get it. And Covid has more complications. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2918-0/figure...

I’m not talking a law. It’s a civil issue.

Here is an example of a lawsuit happening when there was a Legionnaires disease at the Melbourne Aquarium.

I would fully expect an insurer to push up the premium to cover the risk of a transmission occurring in your premise. There would be risk of legal action against the premise and they would then need to demonstrate they have done everything possible to protect the customer. Without excluding people ...
