Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Sexton isn't as good as he was and may never be again but he's not playing at a level where he needs a break, ffs. If anything it's the opposite. He's had a stop start 12 months (and I'd be surprised if he was anywhere near 30 games in that period). Leinster should get there but it's been a fractur...

Re: Barf v Leinster
You really have to fear for professional rugby in the Pro12, since the end of the ERC we are not competing at all. The downward spiral will continue as more resources are drawn towards a handful of English and French clubs. Maybe it's just an inevitable consequence of professionalism but sad to see...

Re: Barf v Leinster
The world cup watching the SH props changed my mind, they have given up on the walruses in the front row. Also think Healys problems partly stem from him putting on more weight.CM11 wrote:

No concerns over Moore's physique at all. I would like Furlong to be a bit better in the scrums though. Hopefully that'll come with experience. Anyone in the SH with moore's physique, the world cup showed physical mass isn't necessarily what we need. Moore isn't as mobile as Furlong but he's a hell...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I don't think Sexton is playing as badly as seems to be the bored wisdom. I think his performances are a result of what's going on ahead of him and while he could be executing some stuff better he will instantly look better when the pack get their finger out. Not my primary concern. The pack as a w...

Nothing like the weekly read-too-much-into-the-weekend's-ECC-results thread  For all Bath's customary endeavour, it was a match won by the set piece and having the better goal kicker, as you'd expect for a freezing afternoon in November. How was it won by having the better goal kicker? Spo...

I guess it was OK when it was Leinster as one of the elite few capable? The Irish clubs have had a lot of success - it cant be seen as the natural state of affairs that an Irish team wins (otherwise it must be a shit sport going the way of football/spivs etc). To his credit Heaslip actually made a couple of decent carries in the second half, but he was MIA for the first half and all of last week. Too many lads phoning it in for the provinces at the moment knowing they'll make the national squad regardless. Or in Ulster's case, just too many lads phoning ...

Quite simply we must have boots on the ground to stop these medieval cvnts. The Saudis and their pals of the area have to do the job, not us, or it's going to be pictured as yet another "crusade". The chances of a multi location attack are very very slim, therefore we would be looking at a Sydney siege scenario or those two loons in London a couple of years back. We have the resources to deal with that at the moment and would not need the army at all. That said, a single well thought out ass...

The french PM, Manuel Valls, mentioned (with carefully chosen words) the possibility of a chemical/bacteriological attack from daesh. That would spark a huge response, world wide. Doubt it to be honest, it's been done before and the consequences are limited. Certainly unlikely to have a death toll ...

Wallace is consistent in fairness, constant shit stirring for his own ends.
Why he didn't wait 24 hours to start a discussion I'll never know but shows his real lack of integrity.

Unbelievable to think we are close to having a failed state within the EU, a country that inevitably will need a huge aid package to get fundamentals such as food and medicines.
Strange times.
