Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

He is going to interchange between the two wings thus allowing the Lions to start with 14 and bring on an extra man for the last ten minutes Nonsense he needs to be more involved in the action than that! He'll be the pilot for the flight over, the ref for all three matches, the scrum half for both ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Interesting about Cooney starting to come good when pretty much everybody on the bored wrote him off in favour of McGrath last season. Yeah he looked good. I wouldn't read too much in to a couple of games at this stage of the season just yet though - some are praising Stevenson already when he stil...

Re: The Offical GAA Thread

Galway's tactics have gone to shit. They need to put some men back in the kilkenny half. KK would run riot if they are not already doing that But it's not good when you concede that much possession. Interesting that they took the point from the penalty. Strange one alright and Floppy would you say ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Anyone know when Madigan is contracted until with Leinster? End of 13/14 season. Cheers. That's interesting, good for Leinster but maybe bad for Madigan and Ireland. If Keatley secures the Munster 10 jersey and Jackson keeps the Ulster one (can't see him not) then we'll be in a great position at FH...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

I'm sure it's been mentioned but great to see Madigan kicking so well last night, he was what, 7/8 or something? He's obviously had a word over the summer and managed to convince Schmidt to let him kick ahead of Nacewa. Great to see but in an Irish context it'll hold little sway with ROG still perf...

Re: The PR Book Thread

I'm on the fourth Wheel of time book and it's already starting to slow down to a crawl. Jordan couldn't write a female character to save his life. They're all tedious plot stagnaters. Can't recomend the series to anyone really, the first 3 books are compelling, but highly derivative of Tolkien. Giv...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

What we really need at centre is for the new broom at Ulster to be proactive and get a partnership together out of the young lads there. If that happens quickly, Deccie'll have no choice but to start phasing at least one of them in. Hopefully Deccie wont be the one making the choices, soon enough.

I started re-reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, as the final final final book is due out early next year.
