Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Rugby highlights are uniformly awful, youtube only has shitty "florugby" ones for me.
DAZN put out 15 min CL highlights day after, you're lucky to get 3 min "just (some of) the tries" highlights from whatever gimp broadcaster is showing the rugby.
Super Rugby do a decent job in fairness.

They're a scourge so if a hammer blow can be dealt to them I'm not going to weep, I imagine smarter people than me have gamed out what unintended consequences this could have but I doubt a black market could ever make up for them being available in shops.

They still have good backs. Good on paper, none of them are really fulfilling their potential bar McCloskey. Balacoune must be one of the biggest disappointments in recent years. Could have been top class. Agreed. But I think that's an environment issue. They're not getting the coaching that can ge...

Really good bit on the 42 podcast today with James Tracy analysing the mauls from the Leinster game. One of those pieces of analysis that reminds me I know absolutely fudge all about rugby. Tough call to make, some top quality tactical analysis where I learn something new.. or the molecast guys lay...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
The general synopsis I am getting from the coverage since our victory is that all the other provinces are at risk of total annihilation by the awesome power of Leinster and the priority for Irish rugby is to somehow make Leinster less amazing. Big turnaround from the schadenfreude of last May. They...

Honestly, the best part will be seeing all the other provinces slowly crushed into irrelevance as Leinster dominate.
Best part, there's no way the reverse it, the damage is done.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I think you'll find that not once have I commented about that as I simply don't care. I did say last year that this Leinster team had underperformed to date though. And I stand by that. Failure to win anything this year (and I genuinely think they will do the double) would be an awful return. a fin...

How we will all laugh when the game is dead as a spectacle on the island Munster filled a 40k stadium for a jumped up friendly 2 months ago. 6 of the top ten programs viewed on Irish TV last year were the international matches including the RWC. It’s not dying. Ulster are just shit at the moment. G...

Disingenuous to assert we have not made moves to address appalling lack of talent coming through. We have. I'll accept it was done far too late, but it is being done. However it is where they are coming though from, and both quantity and quality of the raw material provided which remains the crux o...

The only backline position a marquee signing would be somewhat justifiable is wing, even then it's not really. The fact that Jordie doesn't cover it really makes it all the funnier.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
While there is no way the two announcements are correlated in that way, Leinster's 10 CCs are a big part of the reason you can spaff 200K on something you really don't need. Produce good players and they get CCs allowing you to sign good backups to cover while they are with Ireland. Beautiful in it...
