Is this what international rugby has come to.

We're playing twice a year, like we have for the last 40+ years.

NPC, no way, not even close, SR these days probably yep. Fair enough. My point is, the Warriors don't need to put do the ABs. They just need to be the second most popular team in NZ. With more home games and games in total, they would rake in corporate money and fans . If they put a second team in,...

Legal counsel is just that, counsel. People ignore it all the time. No lawyer worth their salt would ever give advice as simple as “yes you will / won’t win.” Sent to me Word from inside the bunker was PVL was given legal advice before naming PNG that it would breach existing registered IP & TM. Hi...

Zakar

I would put winning the bledisloe as being more important to us than winning the rwc. There isnt a prize in sport I'd prefer australia to win.

This is why feeling like we have a chance is so cruel.

Zakar

The NRL obviously have a decent legal council that would have advised on this matter. I find it very hard to believe PVL would just ignore their advice unless he really is just posturing for a forced victory at the last moment. He is a bit Trumpian in nature, not gonna lie, but he is a hell of a lo...

Same name Same colours Similar market These are pretty applicable to Richmond Tigers and West Tigers though and that didn't cause any problems. Maybe it was just never tested. I don't think PNG has much of a case in NZ, but I also don't think Waikato has much of a case in PNG. In Australia it is mu...

Points of order: 1) It's NZ Rugby Vs NRL 2) No such thing as Waikato Chiefs [/pedant mode] I know what you're getting at. NRL seem to be on a hiding to nothing but they have many millions more to play with than NZ Rugby does. It doesn't hurt anybody and we can even arrange an end-season cross-code ...

Zakar

The Kansas City chiefs argument is baloney.

Different market. Different colours. Bigger Gulf between sports.

I think the NRL are on a hiding to nothing here. I have no idea why they have persisted with it. Just call them the PNG Pythons and get on with it.

Not sure why you wouldn’t put Henry at 12. Him at 12 and Flook at 13 always looked good for the reds. In saying that Kiss has been working with this kid for several years daily, so I’m willing to trust that he knows a bit more about Henry than me. I kind of like the idea of Henry defending at 13, a...

There were a lot of lower limb injuries for rhe Wallabies under Rennie. Seems it might be linked to his training style?

What is it? Hip Drop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KJ9mCbS3rU Knee drop is when you have both knees on the ground before the tackle e.g. at 3.45 here and it also covers the hip drop a bit later https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPaArOE8jvM Thanks. It's pretty disgraceful. The constant "injuries" which always seem to happen when the opposition has some momentum. Yeah he's been good for the Brumbies all year. Has played 6/8 and lock. Good player. Young. 21 I think.

Hes there to hold tackle bags. Be good for Aussie As I reckon.

Going to be a very different team to the one that beat the bokke

1. Lenny probably out injured

Superb performance by the Wallabies! It was only marred by the 5 yellow cards in the second half which probably saved the Springboks from their greatest thrashing in history, as all their second half points were scored during that period when we had players off the field. It was shameful, though th...

But anyway, watch the two NRL games, the AFL grand final and that one and you'll see why rugby has issues in this country.

This was better than any of those games

QR is better but they don’t focus on development at all. They outsource development to a half dozen private schools. Check the number of blokes in the 2027 squad that didn’t come through QR’s systems. I think they run the Reds well but they don’t do bugger all outside of that. And grassroots sport ...
