Re: Brisbane 2032 Olympics
Yeah so ACB/GABBA trust and AFL fund the GABBA upgrade. The AFL are loaded and they want their game to march northwards....then fund it. No sport has ever funded a stadium in Australia. Not going to happen. They can pay for more of the share. New Tassie stadium costs 750m, call it a bill as it blow...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
What time did you start drinking? 3. Tupou - the game is months away. 6. Hanigan 8. Bobby V 10. Gordon 12. Paisami Tupou can get in the list if he proves he can do 60mins. Right now he's a bench option at best. Hanigan has had one good game. The 7/8/9 combo of the Reds is too cohesive to ignore. Li...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Here is my team vs Wales based on the season so far. No overseas picks, that's too hard basket, and with the state of Wales, hopefully unnecessary. 1. Bell (first name on team sheet, and not because of his number) 2. Faessler (daylight second. Hope Porecki comes back and gives him some competion). ...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Toole deserves a shot. Might be great. Might be Rod Davies Mk. 2. The Wales games seem as good a time as any. Hes worth 5-15 points a game. These aren't mugs he's running around either. His defence seems better this year too. If kellaway and Nawaqanitawase are the other members of the back three, t...

Happy with that.
I like that we have started poorly yet are still 3-1.

Re: SRP Rd 4 - Rebels v Reds Match Thread
My little man woke up at 4 so I decided to go watch the game again, while he rolled around on the floor and mum had a sleep in. The Reds switched off for a bit, but I thought their game was good for a few reasons. Firstly the reds of that last few years would’ve switched off after a massive win the...

Re: SRP - R4 Highlanders vs ACT Brumbies
Hopefully Brumbies turn it around. Possibly coasting on last year's performance where they were the only half decent Australian team. Getting rid of the the tiny 2 is a good change. Bench backs look very weak, so they'll need a bit of luck with injuries. Wouldn't be surprised if they take it though...

Derwyn's snub for Hall of Fame has irked me so much that I'm going to abstain. He hasn't made Best of his Nationality or MVP yet - gotta trust the process mate. Get your votes in. Zakar - preferably as that way we can see it's one poster, one vote but not essential. Voted - mine should be clearly me.

Outstanding No 8 Hugh Renton has been ruled out for four to six weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain in the 23-21 win over the Waratahs in Sydney on Friday night. Teams should be named today I believe so I will update the OP then That's tough, Renton was comfortably the best on the pitch in th...

Good idea - quickly becoming a complicated exercise.FairWeather_Aussie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 11:30 pm Might be worth keeping track of the number of starts, eg. (13/3) or (6/2). Otherwise, especially as the season goes on and players spend time out injured it gets hard to compare.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Tom Lynagh has to be most zen player I’ve ever seen play rugby. He looks like he is on a meditation retreat. And I mean that in a good way. I’d love to see him and Gordon as a 10/12 combo. Both great defenders, and complement each other in terms of their skills. With a horrible cvnt at 13.!!! Could...

Actually not him, the other side. The islander looking guy with the beard. Peni Ravai, an absolute unit. Built like a bodybuilder, kinda similar physique to Joe Marler. Judging by the few minutes he played, he would bench press Joe Marler. I can bench press Joe Marler. Ravi could shoulder press him.
