Re: Showpiece of the year, Leinster v Munster
Leinster can't stop cheating. Murray clearly tackled Larmour to the ground then released and rolled away to get back in the line. It's not like he tripped Larmour and didn't bring him to ground. Attacker and defender hit the ground together in the tackle, and then the attacker got back up without re...

Re: No Country For Old Men
Is there a real reason why the Japanese league and Super Rugby are clashing? Both comps are short. Either move NRC/ITM or move the Japanese league so players can play in both. Top League is glorified touch rugby, so I can't imagine burnout would be an issue.

Re: The All Black midfield
Reiko has played 20 + matches in the midfield, nearly a whole Super comp, some of them pretty decent and the odd crap one, and posters complain about him playing centre. Yet, we're expected to jump on board the JB's fanbois wish for him to play midfield because he played U20s there and 1 or more ga...

Re: The All Black midfield
Do people realise Laumape is 5’9 and 95kg? He’s a better option than J.Barrett, but he’s not striking fear into Test teams. I agree that he's not the dominant physical pressence that Canes-twats like to make out. He's around 10 cm shorter and 12kg lighter than Ma'a Nonu, yet they expect him to ply ...

Please pick Jordie at 12. Please. Just gonna throw this out there.. It's no secret that Razor attempted to lure J.Barrett away from the Hurricanes in 2019 to pair with Goodhue in the midfield after R.Crotty left. My suggestion of moving Jordie to second-five for the All Blacks isn't so far-fetched....

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
At this stage we can't think about trying to replace Sexton in order to get the most out of the 10 shirt, because he probably has the most personal impact on a game that any of the 10s would. It's about how we can improve the games of the midfield and outside backs by having 10 who can do the basics...

Always used to love going to Wales for games. Went to every Munster and Ireland game in Wales from 2005ish to 2011. Gotta love the Welsh publicans who didn't mind 15yo having pints with his father and uncles etc.

The thing that ges against Russell for me was that, extremely rarely for him in a Sweatie Jersey, he had front foot ball most of time during the game...and yet still managed to look average in patches. The guy is not consistent, and that will be the reason why, even though he was alright today, and...

NZ coaches clearly want the better passer/playmaker at 13, rather than 12. Goodhue is not a great passer, while ALB is a very good distributor in general. Hence the desire to invert their natural positions. I don't agree with it or like it, but thats what I think they are doing. Laumape doesn't hav...

The best best long term for the Jaguares, outside a fully professional South American League, would be to play in the Pro 18. The Celts have shown that they're desperate for teams and they'll include anyone who wants to play with them. Nah, they should have been part of MLR, really. It would have g...

Wing is really the easiest position to develop players, and convert guys from other sports into. Should be lads coming out of the u20s every year who are challenging for those international spots. It depends how much you want to spend on the GPU, but the basic bones of a ryzen 5 3600 and a b450m with 16gb ram and some kind of ssd will give excellent performance for many years to come and at a decent price. I'd recommend going for at least a 750w psu in order to be future proof for gpu upgrad...

I don't like the permanent nature of the deal - I feel we are under-selling ourselves when you think this will still be going in 50 years. Are we that broke? In theory they leverage the brand to make it more profitable. They see channels of growth for the brand that eclipse the investment they have...

F#ck me! Southampton are strange. They're sort of pretty but there's definitely something soft about them. They don't stroke the ball around at pace at all. They look like a team that should struggle when you play them though obviously their results have been there for all to see. But two 9-0's in ...

Would really rather Moana Pasifika were based in Western Sydney. It's not like Auckland based PIs are struggling to find a pathway into professional rugby. Auckland are already pretty well stacked with PIs, so I'd suggest youngsters growing up there aren't struggling for rolemodels and pathways. It'...

Really depends who goes to SA. I'd like to see Swepson, Abbott, and Henriques go to NZ and actually play cricket. I'd make Henriques captain and sack off Finch, who looks absolutely cooked at the moment. I also wouldn't trust Stoinis and Maxwell to be that 5th bowler between them. Could be a very ex...

I live in the Western Suburbs of Perth and most people are fit and healthy, anecdotally. Fat people around here are more the "too much red wine and steak" type fat, rather than "too much Maccas" type fat. Uptake of sport and exercise is incredible, really. Unions like Ireland aren't going to give up the chance to go to the likes of NZ in 22. Well I would be astonished if they would. My bet is the 6N gets played when the Lions was supposed to, and SA just miss out. The SARU won't be happy. They arrogantly forfeited this year's Rugby Championship based...
