Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

If Toner was with Munster he'd be in the exact same position as Nagle. I disagree. He'd certainly have fewer caps, but Cheika to a certain extent and Schmidt in a big way weren't afraid to use the younger guys so he wouldn't be in the same position as Nagle. He'd still have more appearances. There'...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Hold on, are we now saying that Toner should be in the Ireland team or something?
That's just stupid.

He's been going well this year and seems to be kicking on, but he's not going to add much to the national team at the moment.

A good friend of mine has suffered from anorexia since I've known her and her life is hell. Arya Stark in the books has gone off on some wild adventure, I wonder what his plans for her are? I also really like Jon Snow & wonder what path he's going to end up taking. His loyalites to the watch are somewhat tangled with his loyalites to the Starks. Ta Nolanator! ;) You're welcome. He fairly ...

I enjoyed it. It took me 2 months to read it though because I kept getting distracted and losing momentum. I'd stay at the bird's for a few days without the book and then get out of the habit of reading it. Wasn't particularly difficult though. I think I struggled the most with Feast. Only having ha...

Is he definitely dead? Just re-read the end of that chapter, and it's seems to have got enough leeway for him surviving. Has Martin said something definitive? Nah, it just ends with him getting stabbed to shit. I was making assumptions. I presume that he'll either recover or be revived á la Donarri...

Wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't Boss. The RWC was his last hurrah for Ireland IMO. And that's fair enough given his age and what he's likely to bring to the squad.

Last game of the league. Lost something like 45-17 to Belvo. They were as massive as usual. At least we scored a few tries. We started with a prop at 6, a hooker on one wing, a SH on the other and another SH at fullback. In the second half our 8 went to the wing to hide because he was shattered (sec...

I guess what I find most frustrating is to see others shift weight/size quite quickly, with probably (a lot) less effort. I wouldn't make assumptions about how easily some girls seem to lose weight. Sure, there are plenty of skinny girls, but to me a lot of them are just skinny and nothing else. Ev...

We've currently got better players available at 3 and 9 than we ever did under Eddie. Hayes at his best offered a lot more than Ross in totality. We are better at 9, but still not great. Bollocks to that. Ross is an infinitely better scrummager. And, as a THP that should be the most important facto...

Don't squat 3 times a week. If you're pushing your strength a lot then do low rep, high weight DLs in one session and squats in another. Space the sessions as far apart as possible. Squatting 3 times a week is seriously tiring and your body will not get enough recovery. It's also not going to get yo...

I appear to have done some minor damage to the cartilage in the lateral meniscus in my right knee. It swelled up a fair bit overnight.

Current treatment is "Ice it and see how it goes". Pretty certain that I'll be out this weekend anyway.
