Re: FAO: Jake

I'm using Chrome on android, so you can't get add-ons. I could use ABP browser but I use chrome for everything else so it's a pain in the hole. I don't mind ads at the top and bottom of the page provided they don't stretch the margins (they do). But the one covering content at the bottom is a piss ...

I tried to watch there, but the wee Nordie kid who lives in Cabra is just too much. How do my friends who don't have kids enjoy this so much? Arrested development? I dunno, it's tedious to watch, I've been watching for 5 mins and I already bored to tears. I had to leave the to almost as soon as I s...

Re: What's a good, well priced tablet computer?

I ended up getting a Galaxy S5e, purely on the basis of comparing price and stats. My 3 year old OnePlus 5 still has a bit more grunt, but the tablet doesn't look awful. Saw some concerns about the screen refresh rate, but it's 60 Hz, like my phone, so figured it's not awful for general browsing/str...

Listening to the 42 pod here and Jackman is still taking about Porter as a viable LHP, and mentioning Furlong as our TH. I don't get the obsession with pundits writing him off as a decent TH. No, just that not everything opens at once. Gyms and hairdressers will open next week. Pubs/restaurants might have to wait a bit longer. I suppose they're trying to avoid an abrupt change where everyone goes from level 5 to really loose restrictions. Ease out of 5. Might help avoid a January lockdown.

EOS called in the Ireland squad as cover for Ed Byrne. Good shout with EOS.
