Where are you flying to/from? Mostly from Sydney to various points in China, but also to mainland europe. Have flown both airlines maybe 10 times long haul. The worst experiences where from Europe to China, but nothing terrible, just annoying. Traveling mostly Singapore Air can warp your perspective.

Leg room is good (im 6.4), food very average, service is crap, not abysmal just dont expect say Singapore Air standards. Planes are abit old, show wear. If you can, try China Airlines, budget but excellent, and a stop over in Taiwan on alot of long hauls.
