Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

The Kitshoff thing basically sums up the whole shambles with the back room staff. High profile, big budget signing, in completely the wrong position, massively overvalued. He was supposed to give the “jobs for the boys” crew something to talk about but it has backfired within six months and thankful...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Lads, stop lecturing people like you’ve been holding tackle bags and putting out cones 8 nights a week whilst all this has been going on, it’s embarrassing. Leinster have done very well out of a system that is inherently biased in their favour. Ulster have rolled over for one IRFU notion after anoth...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

The game is becoming unwatchable with the standard of the officiating. Every line break followed up by a defensive player “accidentally” impeding quick ball and the referees let them away with it.

Wales let away with some very questionable penalties in the 22 and a few of our own lads playing a bit too risky. Hopefully enough of a wake up call before the pigdogs

Faz is the best selector we have had IMO - great balance between continuity, development, and keeping everyone on their toes. Herring would've won us the QF but apart from that he has got most of his big calls right.

Rubbish they are professional players, tackling is a psychological thing, players are the ones dropping the ball, bumped off tackles. Re: URCR9 Connacht vs Munster

Murray's slow as a Sunday drive but ruck's a complete mess anyway and we've got nothing in the carry. Anyone's game. It's not though. We had the elements. Only three up, is not anyone's game given our injuries, lack of lineout, absence of carriers, which is only going to be compounded into the wind...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Ruck was a bit of a free for all but Doak could’ve dealt with it better. Attack slightly better at times but they’re still not all on the same pages with the patterns and the tip on passes and they’re struggling to put enough intent into the carries to win the gainline. IRFU have to be looking at ge...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

I genuinely think Ulster are contenders this season. Kitsoff will make all the difference. Once he arrives all of a sudden you combine him with options at hooker and TH and that’s a savage front-row. Plus, provided Hendo stays fit, by extension a classy tight 5. That’s what wins the big games. Ulst...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

If they both stay fit its going to boil down to Crowley vs Prendegast IMO, Crowley is ahead of the pack and Prendegast is the standout challenger. The really interesting thing will be how all the provincial pecking orders get reshuffled after the RWC and the retirements because Farell isn't afraid o...
