Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Think you've got Sale confused with someone else. All looseheads (Rodd, McIntyre, Harrison and Onasanya) and tightheads (Schonert, Opoku-Fordjour and Harper) in the squad are EQP. That being said, we did just sign Willgriff John on an emergency loan as Schonert is injured, so there is one foreign pl...

Yep, his ceiling is huge. Not only are his basics superb but he's a ridiculous athlete. So physical and fast for a scrum-half.
As you say he just needs to stay fit.

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Well well well. Seems Sanderson wasn't bluffing when he said we'd been focusing on our attack. Some great performances, Roebuck showed how good he is and Curry made a monumental difference. So physical on both sides of the ball, a joy to watch. Ford marshalled things nicely and Quirke made a big imp...

Opoku has just been absolutely melted in the scrum by a 32yo Saffer journeyman... :uhoh: He's 19 years old with a child second row behind him. That being said our bench have been shambolic, we've fallen apart. Lack of depth has cost us any chance of a win. Big questions for Sanderson and the coachi...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

For all the praise of Big Joe with the ball, he's been godawful every time he's been called on defensively. He just looks like he doesn't know where he's supposed to be, or who is his man. Lawrence looking bloody great. Spencer too. The pass for that last try was immense. Agreed with all of that. A...

Some good bits so far in this game.
It's absolutely insane. Care is surely done now? Although he should've been retired years ago.
Spencer seems tailor-made for test rugby but has never got a proper shot. Very strange.

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Rodd is going to be a very, very good prop. His scrummaging is good for his age but his point of difference is over the ball, he's as good as an openside and his handling is absolutely superb. He should benefit from the rumoured (much needed) coaching changes at Sale in the summer. Our forwards rare...

Daly is a waste of space. No threat, no pace, no physicality, no ability in the air. Cannot wait until he's permanently turfed out, he offers absolutely nothing. That being said, I'm hugely encouraged by that performance. We gifted them two tries and some of our tries were lovely. Ford back to form ...

Cokanasiga will never, ever, ever be a proper test winger.
He punches woefully below his weight, has no kicking game, is a liability in defence and isn't very quick either.

Marcus Smith has yet to look wholly at home in test rugby, but he'll never get a better chance than in a game like this. England forwards are up for it and we have different threats across the backline. Ford has been largely woeful.

Feyi Waboso replacing Elliot Daly. 8) Excellent news. Mind you, I thought we'd finally moved on from Daly when Eddie jettisoned him a few years back so I won't get too excited. What better time to bring in a young player than against the best team in the tournament. He'll have plenty of opportunity...

Would be happy with that. Ford has been largely diabolical and should never have been picked on form. So many of England's issues would be helped by better selection. If we do want to play more expansively, why pick a fly half who kicks the leather off it every chance he gets?
