I’m obviously a fairly new poster but I just need somewhere to vent. A good friend who lives at the other end of the country was diagnosed with Cancer in one of his kidneys 6 months ago. Straight in and removed it and onto three months of chemo. Three weeks ago they found it had already spread to l...

Bernies; I'm not sure what councelling if any you had post your bereavement but you need again to find help to deal with Guilt. It's a horrible thing to carry on your own.

Keep your head up and possibly speak bereavement services about some help.
Thanks Bimboman, yes I have had some counselling.

So onto day 5 now of the Sertraline. Almost pulled a sicky yesterday while half way to work but kept on going somehow.

Anyone else been on Sertrakine, how did it go? When does it start to kick in?

I've just succumbed again to the black dog, been off citalopram for 4 years and doc has put me back on Sertraline this time. Had a still birth a few years ago and having work issues. I think I'm OK workwise but am the sole income earner for a young family and in my 50s now getting another job is not...

I am in the process of adopting my own kids. Let's see how long it takes the bored intelligentsia to work that one out.... Putting a Laptop into Checked Luggage - a dumb idea or not?

We have three freaken laptops with us and about to fly back from Thailand to NZ. One is on its last legs so not to worried about it.

Thinking of outting 2 of them into checked luggage, suitable wrapped in bubble-wrap and padded by soft clothes.

Really bad idea or no?

Thanks in advance, gents

Re: Are Canes fans still thrilled with signing Chris Boyd?

Obviously as the Hurricanes 2015 Super Rugby head coach he'll have a different squad and different support staff. But there has to be some serious doubts over his ability as a coach, given his woeful performance this year with Wellington. I remember at the time of his signing the Canes fans on this...

Good on them. If their fans are so loyal that they provide a steady stream of cash then they deserve their success. It's got nothing to do with the loyalty of their fans, and everything to do with wealthy benefactors. Hence my comparison to Toulon. Who are these wealthy benefactors? Can't imagine a...

Re: Are Taranaki the 'Real Deal'?

Or should I say, 'Rural Deal'? NZ's wealthiest provincial union, Taranaki, sits arrogantly on top of the ITM Cup ladder, and barring a dramatic reversal in form, I can't see any other teams challenging them this season. They boast the most experienced, highly credentialed coach in the competition, ...

Secret to Giving Up Smoking

Is to stop thinking about it. Forget you ever did it. Don't even count the days/weeks/months that you have stopped. Dont stare at smokers with slack-jawed lust or abject pity. Smoking is remote to you, beyond such emotions. Smoking is no longer an option. (having said that I will tempt the mockers, ...
