Re: Coronavirus Thread. Virus v humans

Well fudge. My dear old mother passed away on Thursday - just ten minutes after I arrived at the hospital in North Devon. As a family we had been stressing over how to keep her safe from the virus but it was her dodgy ticker that got her first. She made old bones despite being seriously ill for thi...

Not sure the french actually understand how bad the situation is. I was driving along the nearby park this afternoon and it was packed with people basking in the sun, children piling up on the outdoor kid games... Great way to self isolate. :? Here's a peek at the planned Frog lockdown:
From Tuesday on, total confinement (except for first necessity) + curfew at 6:00 pm and neighborhood blockades, just like in Italy.
Passes for doctors, police, etc. only
Army could be involved in the lockdown enforcement.

The theory of the herd immunity is scientifically very weak if faced in the way UK is claiming to face..no1 knows wether this virus, once you heal, keeps you immune and for how long..this is a nonsense and puts at high risk hundred thousand ppl worldwide! Ah ok  “Il canto della Verdena” - I do not know much about it; it is a song about Siena. Someone says comes back from Middle Ages, as the song refers also to this particular plant (la Verdena), which grows on the “piazza del campo”. But nothing grows in “piazza del campo” nowadays (although th...

My hometown is officially a "cluster" now, with 23 cases, all brought to us by the same evangelical weirdos who organized a rally in Mulhouse.
All schools, theatres and sports buildings are closed for two weeks at last.
We're de facto self-quarantined. Good thing I work from home.
