Tom Wright went the entire season without any major brain explosions.
Even as a Brumbies' supporter, I'm shocked, and impressed.

I actually didn't know pubs could get Stan now, as originally they couldn't. Will keep an eye out now when at pubs. There were issues in its first year due to Stan's licensing, which required them to roll out Stan Sport Venues ... But since then it's been widely adopted: https://www.fanzo.com/en-au...

I'm shocked that a forum populated largely by straight, middle-aged men isn't that interested in initiatives that support trans people. Correct me if I'm wrong but we've never, ever had an openly trans member? Anyway, this discussion could have been had on one of the trans athletes threads, same ki...

There's currently only one. FTA is important in terms of maximising reach but it also needs to be on the main channel and needs proper promotion leading into games. Problem at the moment is no one is going to do that. 7 has AFL, 9 NRL. Probably an old movie on at 7pm will draw in more viewers than ...

That's great that you know. Does the Australian public know that Nuclear would be a lot more expensive in Australia than renewable options? I don't think that's clear. They should, because the CSIRO report was widely reported on a few weeks ago... But some may not, because the Murdoch press has lab...

Not Australia, but interesting. Cheapest source of fossil fuel power is twice the cost of utility scale solar. Nuclear is the most expensive source. Labour could just start a mantra that nuclear is the most expensive source of power in the US. https://pv-magazine-usa.com/2024/06/11/cheapest-source-...

One of most watched things each year on Australian television is the SOO. Each game is worth $15m to RL in broadcast rights alone. That’s $45m a year and rising, which is more than what Stan pays to RA for all tests, SR and Shute Shield. This is played during the season. Amazing, right? The best pl...

The games will be utter dog shit, you need a pre-season to get some combos and tactics set out. Start the pre season earlier then. How does Hooper compare out of interest? Hooper and Swain are both 3rd and 4th respectively in the comp for locks. They are good at securing ball close in on attack. The issue for the Brumbies with this loose trio is securing wider ball on attack and winning turnovers at the ruck. Jahrome Brown has...

Why can't the organisers of Super Rugby ever get it right. A 19 week comp? Are they trying to be annoying contrarians to piss the fans off?
