Nah, he would be getting it because he's big, skilful, athletic, and was the best defensive lineout operator in the competition prior to getting injured...
Wilson was no guarantee of selection prior to getting injured.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Yeah, for me the four guaranteed loosies who should be in the squad would include: Valetini, Wright, McReight and Cale. That's not necessarily to say that Wright would be a starter, or that Cale would be in the 23 initially... but they're the guys who form wise/potential this year deserve to be amon...

Re: The 4 additional teams at RWC 2027
It's a great addition... It will help grow the game... More matches... A reduction in the massive week long holes between pool matches, while providing a fair gap between games for all teams as the tournament doesn't need run any longer... More competition for the knockout rounds, and more competiti...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Potentially but it doesn't explain Kautai and JTA who have high workrates and rank highly for workrate in the props. Also the locks and loose forwards are still a minority for workrate from the Aus teams. I think that's basically what is reflected in the standings. I do think its more fitness and c...

Anyway I think its something Schmidt will look to rectify quickly. He'll flog those guys and the Australian Super teams will be better for it. Could it not be game plan differences rather than laziness or fitness? Aussie teams may prioritise back 5 in rucks/carries etc. Potentially but it doesn't e...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
A quick glance over the three 50ish minute games he's played seems to indicate that his carry and tackle numbers are not that low in comparison to other props... As a player well known for his workrate I would like to see those ruck numbers to compare. Here's some random prop numbers in comparison....

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
How does one measure workrate? I think Talakai and Horton have pretty high workrates, but that's just based on the eye test. Yeah, just a quick glance at the stats and JTA seems to be putting in a decent shift defensively but overall nothing really stands out and he seems to be a bit shit on attack...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Zongorr just inked another 2 years with Aussie rugby and the Reds. Even though he was a liability at times last year, he's consistently shown slight improvement. He's got the size and strength to be a top flight Prop, I wonder if having JTA at the Reds has helped his development. JTA has the highes...

I thought the Brumbies were quite poor in most facets and their counter-attack saved them. Set piece was abysmal. Crusaders were better in a lot of facets but their backline still looked clunky af and they kept turning over the ball after making progress. McNicholl is still a journeyman and it's te...

Don't especially care about the YC either way. Either it's a kickable penalty or a try, either way we lose. What I'm absolutely ropeable about is that they missed a pass that legitimately went 5m forward just a minute earlier. Sean Maloney rightly pointed it out and couldn't believe it wasn't calle...
