Re: The Australian Politics Thread

No. I expect the focus will be on the government of the day. Specifically The Voice, Immigration, Broken tax promises, Glambo, and so on To quote the opposition minister, the Coalition's plan is to wait until the election to see what Labor says and then do the opposite. As for broken tax promises ?...

I like how the Reds post the schools and junior clubs where players were developed. It would be great if the brumbies could do the same… Most of the players at the Brumbies were developed at the Brumbies. https://img.creator-prod.zmags.com/assets/images/64b7369fb6fc7c5ba7690e87.png?im=Resize,...

Re: Stupid laws world rugby have created in recent years

What you are describing is in the field of play. I am making the point about what is allowed by the defenders once the ball crosses the line differs from what is allowed in the field of play. Huge difference and only to the advantage of the defender once the ball crosses the line. And it is obvious...

Re: Stupid laws world rugby have created in recent years

No, more a case of the defence can hold on to the ball on the ground and smother it and not roll away to prevent the attacking team from recycling it. Would allowing that be more advantageous to the attacking team or the defending team? The defence can't do that unless the ball has crossed the line...

Re: Stupid laws world rugby have created in recent years

I am not sure if the phrase lazy attack is accurate. It is desperate attack and desperate defence. Just once the ball crosses the goal line the desperate defence has fewer restrictions on it to prevent a grounding than in the field of play. It is obviously harder to ground the ball in goal than in ...

Toole is looking more like a more rounded, XV's player this year... if he keeps up this form he'll definitely be in the Wallabies' squad.
