Re: RWC QF: All Blacks vs Ireland: MATCH THREAD: Sat 19th Oc

Really surprised by Goodhue's inclusion. Didn't look up top speed yet in his last outing and I think ALB is largely wasted at 12. Would have preferred SBW, ALB, or Crotty ALB. J Barrett must be there in case we are getting stuffed in the air and need a good leaper. Smith has been only mediocre at th...

Re: NBA season 2019/20 - Pre-Season Discussion

Yeah, Lebron's stance as a voice on social issues has taken a big hit. I don't think it'll affect it too much within the black community as that's something that he can speak on with first hand experience, but it's given a big boost to the 'shut up & dribble' crowd and a lot of other people won't b...

Re: RWC QF: Wales Vs France Official Match Thread: Sunday 20

Wales look the better side overall.
Midfield defense not so flash against Oz though, and France have some great attacking players both forwards and backs.
It's in the tight stuff they just don't look efficient/consistent enough.

Wales by 8.

Really entertaining game.
Good hustle from the USA to turn over a lot of ball in the first half.
Great tries from both sides.
Tonga tons of mistakes but also some great skill at finding space.

Re: RWC Pool D: Georgia v Australia — Friday 11th October

Ball security the obvious problem for the wobs in that game. Set piece is excellent and they have plenty of attacking ability. They lack a really good tactical kicking game though, and the goal kicking is only OK. I reckon over the course of a whole game the kicking deficiency will be the difference...

I played football to a decent level when I was a lad. I've played rugby in all its forms for a bit longer. Some real lost opportunities for Argentina.
Absolutely tons of talent and some beautiful skills.
But a very flat first half against France killed their tournament.
France was their big chance don't think they were ever going to beat England.

I with Ali's choice on this one.
Someone is already planning to exploit it.

Secondly the pick and go suddenly becomes a whole lot more attractive, you don't even need to duck as you are naturally quite low from having just picked up the ball.

Not a lot to take out of a game like that. ALB by far the best of the backs. Goodhue looked slow, had the ball plenty of times but didn't look like he could take a gap or step a player at all. Awful game from the forwards. Thought the 2 Sam's in particular were unimpressive. Whitelock because he jus...
