Re: Tindall's point on all these new safty tackle rules

Reduce the number of subs to 3. One must be a prop who can play both sides. Players get more tired, gaps open, increasing the impact of quick skillful players over bulk. Massive collisions are reduced, game is better to watch. England consigned to the dustbin of history. Everybody who matters is hap...

USA worked their arses off for very little reward.
France have some wonderful skills but can't see them featuring at the pointy end of the tournament.

O'Keefe bottled that. Two final warnings, WTF? Sadly refs seem to find it hard to bin tier 1 players when playing tier 2 nations. And you know he's going to bin a yank for a similar offence with no or just one warning  The Scottish commentator and his side kick were bewildered by it as well.

Japan play a rush defence but also very swift attack. Probably one of the best teams at beating a rush with the speed they move the ball. https://i.imgur.com/xSZFJQ9.gif Quality GIF to analyse, I like the view from behind the tackler too. What you can see clearly, even though he separates his arm slightly from the 'brace' is that he doesn't strike at all, he absorbs the tackler's impact then uses his own momentum to then push away. The Samu Kerevi incident is just another example of a seemingly innocuous incident being deemed foul play, when last week and for the previous hundred or so years, such an incident would have happened without a second look. There has never been a crisis of foul play in International Rugby, yet it a...

Re: Encroaching lineouts

How about a novel sanction for closing the gap? Throw retaken and you are not allowed to contest. This gives a genuine advantage to the throwing team without going the nuclear option, which causes referees to hardly ever call it. Free kick is not that useful as you want the forwards tied up. penalty...
