He's having a crap debut, but it's tough going when everyone around you has forgotten to turn up too.The Man Without Fear wrote:Furbank did do one thing, tackle Thomas when a try looked on.
Otherwise, crap. But hey, his replacement is... Daly.

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Furbank grew into that Lyon game nicely after the opening 10 mins, though. Scored a lovely try too. I think if France get conned into kicking long to him all game they'll be making a mistake. He compares well with Daly, at least. Daly as the last defender against that backline doesn't bear thinking ...

I think I disagree with everyone about Ludlam. Decent player, Saints standout forward this season so I don't know where one of you got the impression that he can't make the squad. Never got the first impression about him being 'dumb' either, and he's got some decent passing and offloading play. The...

Simmonds looked good yesterday, impressed last time he had the shirt for England too. Now that England have more carrying in the flankers and front row, having a smaller player at 8 isn't such an issue to my mind. Do we have more carrying in loose forward positions now? And do we have more carrying...

I'm sure we'll see plenty of Leinster whining about Saracens being able to rest all of their first team players in a meaningless domestic fixture in the weeks before the quarter final.

Furbank got over his nerves eventually, then. I'd start him in the 6 nations, his defensive play is miles ahead of Daly and he can be as deadly in attack.
