Yeah, reluctantly I would have too, in Hendo's absence.

Ball too slow, backs too flat, players playing nervous. That's all you need to know about that game. First the coaches need to decide who we are and what's going to beat teams like England. Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Thought Jimmy looked better at 15 last season. Pretty lightweight for a modern centre. I've been pretty impressed with him to be honest. He's got a great outside break. But Keenan definitely looks the better fullback. Saying he needs to be more selfish is daft. Not at all. Jimmy's been around the s...

He had a couple of errors, but all in all I thought Tommy O'B outplayed Jimmy at the Hairsprays. Would have liked to see him get another run. Would have had him or Kelleher on the bench at least. A very similar backline to the one that tore them apart the last time. Different players but not a lot ...

Similarly if he gets space to execute his chip, it has a ridiculous success rate. It used to. He seems to have lost the timing of the kick. He used to have it down to a fine art - carry it just long enough to force the defender to step up - then immediately make the kick and be able to chase it him...

Earl, I watch every game of rugby on telly. I mean probably 10/12 hours of rugby a week so I have seen all of Stockdale's games. He is not playing to international standard, no where near. Stockdale did not have a good game, he should have nailed May and he cocked up in goal. But he's an easy target when it's your mates at half back that are the glaring issue and you pa...

Re: The best new and returning TV series of 2020?

Having massively enjoyed Season 1 of Kidding, S02 is not disappointing either. There's really nothing like it out there, as a brilliantly acted and scripted tragi-comedy with free rein to go a bit nuts. Jim Carrey is just brilliant as the ticking timebomb - 9 parts altruistic saint to 1 part psycho....

5 cases in Spain now, all connected to Lombardia. 3 x Tenerife, 1 x Barcelona, 1 x Castellon.

Must say the media here are handling it relatively well on the serious news pieces, keeping things sensible and informative, but there's the looney fringe and social media going nuts as you´d expect.

There were some poor individual performances but the depressing part for me is how poorly the team was set up, how uninspiring the tactics were, how unprepared we were to deal with something we've already faced and got mullered by. Fully deserved and shades of last summer's pumping when we got outmuscled and out-worked. Just not as clinical in the backs this time. Still, pretty ominous showing of power.

Colditz would be worth a day trip. It's not far outside the city, think it's on the Dresden autobahn iirc.

Ditto on the Kilkenny pub for rugby. Been there a few times to see games.

No idea at which station I got on the Frawley hypetrain, but it's been a while and I'm fairly positive he's going to be a star.

Despite being on the Deegan bandwagon, I thought his lack of size and power got shown up a bit against the Cheetahs pack. Something to watch.
