They're in a trick position I suppose.

They'll lose their left transfers if they do, their centre transfers if they dont. Both results will hurt them in the next election so might as well do the best they can now.

They would never be anything more than a prop for FF or FG though with that strategy. They obviously have bigger ambitions than just being a 5 seat party which is fair enough. I'm sure they'll be a 20-30 seat party in my lifetime.

And it's 10 years down the road. Hopefully we get a not awful Minister for Transport for the first time in 4 years and with that cycling and walking budget it will be very interesting to see what they get done.
