Re: Qualifying Final 1: Crusaders vs Reds: MATCH THREAD: Friday 6th June

Any Aussies have any whinges/vendettas about this group they'd like to get in early? Well, they are all kiwis, which means they’re all biased against Australians and probably justify it with ‘underarm’, etc. Kiwis will never call a fair game in SR. I will say that Paul Williams, although a NZ fanbo...

Wobs didn’t let him go, he wanted to go. Also while it was a good try, there are plenty each season which are of equal or greater skill. It was the Suaalii effect. Suaalii is on $+.5m a year, yet Marky would've been lucky to be offered $400k. It makes guys look elsewhere. Yep There are player agent...

I feel filthy supporting the Ponies over JOC's Saders, but I like the idea of a Brumbies-Reds final. I wonder what the odds are? I don't mean grand final - just 1st final. I'd say there's a good chance. Reds are likely 5th - Ponies end up 2nd - they play the next week. That would be a good game.

Did you see Bristow doing his thing at the Newport Arms? Yep. Once was enough. It's etched in my memory, this college boy boxer dancing around, landing little blows on Tim, who just kind of rocked backwards and forwards and then WHAM....Tim hit him with a devastating uppercut. Current, Miles Amatosero. All time, probably someone from the 70s/80s. Maybe Tommy Lawton? Ray Price. Pricey was tough, but not aggressive - although maybe the Cumberland Throw was a bit borderline. The most aggressive player I have ever seen was Tim Bristow. He was an out and out thug. Only played...
