Re: Back operation. Any positive experiences?
Great to read that it's gone well, Wambers. Now - don't friggin forget that you still have an injured and weak back; just because the pain goes, don't do an Enz and start being 25 again. I couldn't even if I wanted to. For one thing Mrs Wamberal would object. For another I can't remember being 25! ...

Re: Back operation. Any positive experiences?
Very good! Keep it up. I saw the physio yesterday and have a new routine. On balance, it's more bastardly than the one the hospital gave me two weeks ago. And it's already time for another round, dammit! (Just checked the time) No pain, no gain (subject to proper techniques etc). I have don...

Today's Sydney Morning Hurled posits that Less Kiss is going to take on the Wallabies role, and will continue to coach the Reds.

Still think they lack an on field leader. High Sinclair (whoever that is) doesn't seem to be that guy. Sinclair is basically a club rugby player.

Re: The Australian Politics Thread
I'm a huge Albanese fan, and I despise Dutton. But when on message, Dutton is arguably the more effective communicator. It will be interesting to see if he's forced to talk about his nuclear energy plan, lack of policies or his policy backflips during the debate. Albo's got it in the bag. Even News...

Re: Back operation. Any positive experiences?
Yes, I have had surgery for spinal stenosis and luckily, it went well - scary though so do your research. I had a good surgeon. I’m happy to discuss further but can’t at the mo. There have been several threads you might be able to dig out - I have posted as has enzedder, I think. Yeah, I have had 3...

Re: Back operation. Any positive experiences?
Good stuff! I'm very happy. Particularly so when the Woodies beat Randwick. Since your op didn't concern fully-articulating joints, what is involved in the rehab / physio? Also, were you prescribed heaps of painkillers? Sorry for the late response. The rehab involves lots of walking, know...

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
He’s playing well, isn’t he. Very few mistakes and just steady. Only criticism of him from last night was his kicking for touch from penalties. He shanked a few which led to 20 metre gains when they should have been 40 metre gains putting the Reds deep into Force territory. A bit picky maybe, and t...

Best of luck and best wishes from me too! And I hope your surgical team is of a quality where not much luck is needed. The neurosurgeon is highly recommended by my GP, who works a few days a month at the hospital. I know a highly regarded orthopaedic surgeon pretty well, he did both my total knee r...

I can barely even run on my knees anymore, f**king hurts. Bring on the titanium skeletons. Make sure you do your rehab after the op. Actually there are some good strengthening exercises before the op. The best one is to sit on a straight backed chair; straighten one leg and hold it horizontal for 5...

A pal of mine lives in New Zealand, he was talking to a fellow sailor who is a neurosurgeon. Apparently my procedure has a very high percentage of success. Here's hoping. It would be nice to be able to walk properly again.
