Re: POTUS-DONALD TRUMP-and U.S. Politics catch-all

Economic growth is one thing, concern for the natural environment is another. Trump is a wrecker, there is no doubt about that. It is easy enough to promote economic growth if you don't mind farking up your world.

My favourite rugby player is a giant of the game whose career ended before I was born. Sir Edward "Weary" Dunlop. Born in Victoria, played Australian Rules, switched to playing rugby almost by accident, ended up in an Australian team that won the Bledisloe. Captained Victoria to victory over New Sou...

Foxtel is an overpriced, redundant model of watching television. And time shifting, we do a lot of that. Foxtel does have content that is not available elsewhere, eg Sky News Uk and CNN. If they lose the Soup, we will rejig everything and give them away.

I get the argument, but the simple fact is that "winning" is the best value marketing. And that you did not do. It was a period of stagnation at best, and the continued policy of paying overs to an outside back, at the expense of developing and investing in youth, even it meant short term pain, was...

For quite a few years, Folau was the face of Australian rugby. He was heavily featured in all our advertising. I have no doubt that his value from a marketing point of view far outweighed what he was paid.

I would argue they were awful acquisitions. Between them we spent a fortune that could instead been invested in juniors. fwiw, I am fans of both of them, as players and people. Did you see the game? It was the ABs in the first half spilling all the box kicks. The tactic worked great for Australia in the conditions. A good box kick is not about gaining territory per se, it is about winning back possession with your opponents on the back foot.

Sailor found something of his old form and played the house down right up until his last game pre-rugby. I remember when Sailor made the crossing into our sport. Greg Martin said, "they've bought the wrong Bronco winger". Would anybody pick him in an all-time team? I certainly wouldn't. He is not a "great" of our sport, by any definition, he was a pretty good drawcard, and an average Test match winger.

Great first up test, but the problem against the ABs is stringing 2 good tests together.
