Re: Leicester's publicity assault on new neighbours continue
I guess it's all relative. I like Coventry mostly. The ring road is a nightmare for both navigator & driver if you're not a native but I reckon we'll get the hang of it eventually. I like that the city centre is compact, I like the market with it's three fishmongers and veg stalls selling stuff I ca...

Re: What do you plan/hope to do when you retire from work
I plan to shuffle around motorway service stations in my carpet slippers, casually stealing shit I don't need with complete impunity. Very similar, but I hope to nurse a pint of super strength lager for hours whilst staring at the optics shelf of an inner city pub, unaware that my cock's hanging ou...

Only eight years to go before I start getting my state pension. Other than avoiding beige: Hopefully, we'll have moved (currently in a flat) by then and have a house with a garden so I'll be sowing (our own veg) and sewing (my own clothes in a dedicated space where I can just close the door on an un...

Reffing has been pretty poor all round. I don't think we've had a clean scrum this half and it seems like he is guessing and lacks control. He's a chump. Ruined last year's fixture when he sent Hughes off unfairly then changed his story. Wrong ref. Need to fact check your whinging. Indeed. That was...

RIP both. This mugger story has been transformed somehow. I'm pretty sure he told someone (in a threatening manner) not to smoke on the tube. I'm pretty sure there was no mugging or beating anyone up. This. The louts were smoking & drinking and being generally offensive. Norm grabbed each by the sc...

Both good teams. Sarries by 5-10 Wasps by at least 16 *60 :smug: Close enough. I was at the game (in the stand Wasps attacked in the second half) and it was just brilliant. I still can't believe it. After 7 minutes I thought I was dreaming. 19-0! Then three penalties from halfway to cap it off :sho...

As others have already suggested, go to Treviso (it has it's fair share of canals) instead and do Venice by train. Far fewer bothersome tourists, some wonderful restaurants etc. Been three times, adore the place... We stayed at the Maggior Consiglio Hotel which is about 1 & half miles from the town ...

How about a guide to wherever you're going then get out there and experience it?
Dont understand why folk go away to somewhere unknown and spend their time reading instead of exploring.
