These laws are a joke. But by the laws Berry is right. This. Game is now a farce. Rugby gone to shit This. The Samoan could barely have gone any lower. Don’t be ridiculous. Re: RWC - Pool A: Ireland v Samoa - MATCH THREAD - Oct 12

We're going to have ball carriers aiming their faces at opponents' shoulders soon, if they're not already. That's definitely what they're doing already, and it's become rife as teams try to take advantage of the greatest ever cash-cow for milking penalties and 1-man advantages over the opposition. ...

Re: RWC Pool D: Georgia v Australia — Friday 11th October

Hello, what's this? - playback of the Beale head-knock: he's tackled, a Geogian comes sliding in to him along the ground (illegal), knocks him in the head with his body, and Beale leaves the ground with concussion. If that isn't Red Card material, nothing should be. Oh, wait - I just remembered you ...

Re: RWC Pool D: Georgia v Australia — Friday 11th October

As Bill Collins would say, "A gor geous pass from TT to WG." Great try to the Georgians earlier: their centre showing the Wallabies how to throw a dummy. Don't think the English will be quaking over that, but a win is a win, a Quarter Final is a Quarter Final, and a bonus point is a bonus point. We ...

Re: RWC Pool D: Georgia v Australia — Friday 11th October

This RWC is becoming ridiculous - the Georgians are attacking our rolling mauls from the side and breaking them up/tripping them up, as Wales did, as Uruguay did. The refs in this tournament are just turning a blind eye to certain practices.

Re: RWC Pool D: Georgia v Australia — Friday 11th October

Last footage before they went to the current break, showed Naisarani ducking his head in the carry and a Georgian hitting him with an arm right across the top of the head - why wasn't that reviewed for a possible red card? It's no different to the Naisarani yellow, where the Georgian ducked his head...

Meanwhile, back at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa, go the Wallabies!

Also, I have found a way the Wallabies can avoid giving away any penalties for the rest of the tournament: change all the forwards' names to Read, and all the backs' names to Farrell - it's guaranteed to succeed!

Re: Wallabies RWC thread

Ef, your comments are very interesting, as TK had been almost invisible for the Wallabies this year playing outside SK, then was unleashed in a big way against Uruguay, playing outside Toomua. I think that's because he needs to take the ball with momentum, and Toomua with his speed off the mark cre...

TT has been left out of the important games so far, and only on the bench against the minnows... the most penalised prop in Super Rugby And that, in my opinion, is precisely why we lost against Wales. Loving the look of that team. Wallabies by at least 50. Centre + wing combo the best we've fielded since the golden years. Toomua's the least worst 10, which is something. Back row is balanced, though Nasarani has been a bit of a disappointment in the WC so far. Wouldn't be surprised if Dempsey tak...

Before talking about selections I would like to state the obvious, and announce that after 3 rounds it is now official - you can handle the ball on the ground without penalty, even if someone on their feet is trying to take it off you. The indigenous jerseys were great. Ditto, I wish we saw them more often.
