Re: Bled I - All Blacks v. Wallabies OFFICIAL match thread

That last penalty kicked for NZ was a result of a scrum push by NZ in which the Wobs scrum went backwards and disintegrated. Exact same thing happened the previous scrum for Aust but the ref shouted he can't give a penalty because the Wallabies can play the ball. Crooked ref Crooked Aussie ref Gard...

Re: Bled I - All Blacks v. Wallabies OFFICIAL match thread

I would have thought a preferable balance for the Wallabies backrow would have been 6 Samu 7 Hooper 8 Wilson, as Samu is a bit light for an 8 but has great mobility as a 6. How much is Samu outweighed by the kiwi Goliath? Yeah, I get it, Rennie may have put Wilson at 6 to counter Frizell's size. So...

Re: Wallabies 2020 thread

I have been speechless since I saw the squad and found the omission of McDermott, the biggest selection blunder of RWC 2019, has been repeated. Nothing against White or Conroy, as I have always been a fan of those players, but '...side to be chosen on form - really?' He was so far ahead of the other...

I was already frightened about this US election, but I've been waking up in fear since Trump tested positive, as the history of western civilization will be at stake, and the choice is a no-brainer, between Trump and the tangled web of opportunist/fanatics, criminals piggy-backing on 'noble' causes,...

I can actually imagine Jacinta saying that at her politically correct peak.

Re: Reds v Brumbies

To me, this game went contrary to history as the Reds showed more flair, but the Brumbies just stayed strong in the basics such as ball retention (an amateurish knock-on from the first kick-off being typical of the Reds' glitches), and that gave them the confidence to keep using their rolling maul a...

I have 2 major observations about this game:

. The Reece try was a clear knock on, but in NZ it's always been a case of, 'We referees will overturn the rules if we want.'

. Put a sailor hat on McKenzie and a corncob pipe in his mouth, and he would be Popeye.
