Re: The OFFICIAL replacement IRISH OLYMPIC BANDWAGON THREAD

I think Conlan will get a gold, he is going to be a star. Katie to get a gold. Barnes will get a medal but think it will be bronze, if he beat Laishram in his next fight, he is up against Zou Shiming who had his measure in the last two times they met and really had his number. I think Murphy will al...

To be honest, what I find most annoying in gyms, way more irritating than the douchbags and the people using crap/weird technique, are those blokes who are completely synchronised with you in their gym attendance, and you see time after time doing the same shit. At the first gym I was a member of (...

When I was living in Athlone use to go to the regional sports centre but there was this guy that use to wear racket ball protection glasses (well think there were racket ball, basically safety glasses with no lens in them) in the gym. The smallest ball in the gym was a medicine ball.

What are you going to be doing with it? If swings, presses, goblet squats in the main, then 12kg is usually light for a man. Depends on how strong you are of course, but doing swings with my 16 feels a bit silly now. I'd think about starting with a 16 though. Oh Ok, strength wise, say this week I w...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Ultimately I don't think POM has what it takes to establish himself as a 6 or 8 at the top level, needs to knuckle down and learn how to play 7. His best performances this season, came on the flank, at 6 and 7. Now Ferris and O'Brien being silly good hinders that aspect and I do think POM could dev...

So POM is definitely not an 8, even though it was his first international match there, which he was admittedly poor, and all around him were too :? I wouldn't write him off just yet tbh, I think 8 is his natural position and I think a good pre-season where he puts on some muscle mass will do him the...

What a player Canning is, incredible. Even Tipp of Cork could never do this to the Cats , Galway have always had the potential but not delivered. Only thing is, you wouldn't do this to Kilkenny twice. They go back in the back door and now will be furiously determined. Cody was out thought there. Yo...
