Yes, Steve Bradbury is in the same vein as Trevor "The Tortoise" Mispeka, Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards and Eric "The Eel" Moussambani. But Bradbury won glorious gold. The other three came dead last. 1:52/100m for Eric the Eel was pretty good considering he had just taught himself to swim. Probably the...

The men’s triathlon at the Paris Olympics will not go ahead as planned on Tuesday as pollution levels in the Seine remain too high, World Triathlon said in a statement. Excuse my ignorance, but how is frontrunning a great tactic? How often does a breakaway by unknown riders do it right at the start of a road race? It must be rare, especially with unknown riders. It's well documented the Dutch didn't draw in Anna Kiesenhofer's breakaway because they didn't know how...

Southgate seems to have done a good job managing egos and forging a team spirit - in some ways a parallel to when Lancaster led England to multiple second places in the 6N. It's not a tackle it's an attempted block and Kane kicks Dumfries. I can see why it is given but I also disagree with it, it 100% should not have been given by VAR as it is not a clear and obvious error. If the Dutch player had rolled around instead of Kane... he might even have got Kane sent off.....
