Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
For flip's sake. Do we need this? One thing I noticed yesterday was how much Toner's clearing out has improved. It's not the tidiest but when he hit a ruck he took someone with him every time. He's useless protecting the ball at a ruck still though. Mike Ross is a hero for making 80 minutes. Ross h...

Christ, just had a read down through the boards match thread. 80% of it is dedicated to discussing the Zebo offload that led to the Australian try On one side you've got Munster fans trying to blame Sexton for calling for the pass, and on the other you've got Leinster fans making out as if it was s...

Ross looked to have three poor games in the scrum, he's getting worse. The only time you see an Aussie front row patting each other on the backs is when they play us it seems. We need Moore back and someone else putting pressure on the backup TH spot. real shame that White got injured. I hope we do...

BOD's departure has nothing to do with it. Kidney was poison, Schmidt can get the best out of the players
He was still far and away the best 13 in Ireland last season and deserved to be selected there. He was magic against Italy during the six nations too

Re: Would Ireland have beaten the All Blacks this Autumn?
There's more to come from us. The fact that we were so conservative is down to limitations with ball carriers rather than a particular Schmidt style He had Leinster playing the most pulsating attacking rugby a few years back. With our big go forward ball carriers back I'd expect to see more of that ...

I don't think Sexton was 100% fit for either game. Which is scary considering how he performed
Himself and Murray weren't brilliant yesterday, but they were still involved in crucial passages of play time and again. Our two most important players, by a country mile

I don't think we would have.
It would have been close. But considering our injuries the AB's probably would have had too much
Put SOB/Healy/Trimble/Henderson/Fitzgerald into the squad and it would be a different story though

So Gatland is was only using the games as a "fitness camp"? Jesus, seems there's more than Gatland deluded if people think that
Gatland isn't dynamic enough, and neither are his players. Having little or no depth outside of the starting 15 doesn't help either
Welsh rugby is headed for the dumps

Have any of the 'responses' to the haka been followed by victories for the ABs opponents on that particular day out of curiosity? Anyway, on the team. Happy with it tbh Would be exciting to see Olding in the side but tbh I think Darcy is a safer pair of hands for the time being. Based off a rumour someone heard on the green and gold forum Jones might actually be starting on the wing & Zebo dropped. Not the most reliable source, but it could make sense. Having 2 fullbacks would allow us to better defend against a kicking game.. and Zebo didn't do much in attack against Geor...

Simon Zebo is not test standard. Apart from a fortuitous heal once, he's done nothing in a green shirt. I was sat pitch side at the Saffa game and told my son to keep an eye on Zebo.
