Loose forwards look different without a Karifi or Savea there.
I know Lakai has played a bit of 7 but its big boots to fill.

Re: OFFICIAL SR'24 Cpt Hurricane Canes vs Reds Thread, Sun 3 March (SUPER ROUND)
Kirifi and Flanders on the injured list, both look doubtful for Sunday. This is good news for Ogre, as it will need Delaney to drop to 6, opening up space for an actual lock. Then bring Shields in to 8, move Lakai to 7, Howden and Iose on the bench. Start Roigard, as losing Kirifi hurts our defence...

This was practically over my back fence. Was good to see some tall timber running around. Looked young and needing another 15-20 KG but some boys for the future hopefully. Lomax is way bigger in person that I thought.

The USA is probably the only country in the world with the capability to successfully invade New Zealand. Unless NZ buys sufficient hardware to defend against this threat, it’s hard to see why they need any fighters. Spend the money on other shit. Why would anyone want to invade modern New Zealand?...

I called that earlier.... If we can piece together a functional lineout out of our tall timber, we got the rest of the weapons to go deep. Good set of props, insane loosies, good halves, decent options at 10 (despite uncles trashing of Morgan, he has a far higher skill ceiling than other dross), in...

Stupidly stacked in midfield and loose.
I like our top 4 props as well. We will be sweating on Aumua to stay fit and on the field.
I hope Walker-Leawere is given time to build form.

I see Ardie and Kolisi talking about how close Kolisi was to signing for the Canes.
As cool as that would be, Ardie should have been targeting some SA locks instead.

One problem is some super sides are stock piling all the good young prospects in some positions. It would be advantageous for NZ rugby to see the likes of Bradley Higgins move franchises so his development is not blocked by Jordie Barrett. Same goes for Ah Kuoi with regards to Finau at the chiefs. ...

Shouldn't really include Fatty as the French match skewer his stats completely. They clearly had a don't bother tackling him mentality that day. He got nearly a third of his run metres in that game, just under a third of his defenders beaten, and 3 o f his tries. Just great to see 2 hurricanes play...
