Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
I hate to be that guy, but at what point are you allowed to say it's too f*cking hot? You're late by two days! Was bitching about it on Wednesday. Yesterday was cooler but today I'm not even trying to get the kids out this afternoon, one of them came home from school complaining it was too hot to p...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
My point was less about Hodnett and more about adequate cover for JVDF. Doris is our best player and I would rather he stays at 8 where he is most influential and, as much as I am a fan of POM, he's no top tier openside.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Of the real contenders, we are the most dependent on keeping our first XV fit. Outside of a couple of positions our depth is not great. If we can get to the QF without any major issues then we have as good a shout as anyone. We say it every time (well I do anyway!) and it never really pans out but ...

Howdy gents, hope you're all keeping well. A mate of mine has accidently ended up with 2 extra tickets for the SA match that he's hoping to swap for 2 quarter final tickets. If you know of anyone that might be up for that you might let me know. Btw...fcuk the mockers, it's our year. Peace out. This...

Kelleher seemingly fighting fit anyway. Looks like Dan Sheehan the only player unavailable for the opener. Hopefully he's good enough to bench against Tonga. It'll be sweltering hopefully the weather settles down a bit after the opening weekend. Anyone heading over for it? Only managed to get ticke...

I think Scotland will be out gunning for us this tournament and not SA. Hope we don't get complacent. Nope. 3 games apart for Scotland. They will go all guns blazing vs SA & then they’ll be physically and emotionally rested to face Ireland where they will again throw the kitchen sink at them. If Ru...

Re: Current best player in the world?
Why the fudge would Skelton make a world xv? He has zero runs on the board when it comes to dominating tests. He played well vs Ireland last autumn Was he the standout lock on the park, did he play more than one half? World XV players have a large body of tests played at the highest standard. Can h...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Ringrose was on the wing yes and Farrell was pleased to be able to give him time there so probably a pointer that he's considered cover in that position. I'd probably put JOB there for the first injury but definitely consider Ringrose for a 2nd injury. Same logic as Doris covering 7. I'd have Ringr...

Re: The 'look at me' who is going on holiday thread
I've always wanted to go to Peter Lugers in Brooklyn. Save yourself the trip out, it's massively overrated. Gallaghers on 52nd is better. It is overhyped but still a fun experience and worth the minor inconvenience of a trip to make your own determination. My preference is Keen’s on 36th but as muc...

Because they're the only other NH team likely to win the World Cup. Get a grip we would be lucky to get out of our group. I think Balacoune and Kleyn are a tad unlucky but I can see the logic.
I must admit I arched an eyebrow at Hodnett's exclusion. I think he's the real deal and comfortably the second best 7 in Ireland.
