Re: Glasgow v Leicester NTHCSBH Round 1
No idea why Peter Betham is on the bench for this one having been one of our best players so far this season, nice to see Toomua make his first start however.
I think we'll have just about enough to take this one but wouldn't be surprised if we lost

Robshaw is a pretty easy pick as our best ball playing flanker, he is very comfortable standing at first receiver and distributing and he has an underrated linking game as well

The trolling accusation probably refers to your suggestion that a flanker who has been consistently used as first receiver by his club and country isn't a ball player. But you knew that. And i guess I bit. But just on the off chance that you didnt, I guess it's worth pointing out which part of your...

Kind of gone unremarked, but McCall has said Fazlet's unlikely play against Wasps or Toulon.... That would leave only 3 weeks till England's opening game, must be close to ruling him out of at least the first test. T'eo, Devoto and Slade are the other options in the EPS, I guess T'eo might be the n...

Itoje at 7 is nuts to me , as is Williams frankly (albeit I'd probably have Itoje at 6 to allow for Launchbury to come in) but Jones is riding on a high at the moment and is getting the benefit of the doubt because of his success. Whatever wasn't right with Hughes earlier in the season, he's put it right. Against quins he had highest tackles, meters, defenders beaten, clean breaks, offloads and tackles made of all the Wasps players, and above most Quins in most of those too. Meh, it was only Quins. Still it's nice to see him...

Only two 10s in the training squad and one of them (Farrell) injured. Pretty much guarantees a place in the 23 vs South Africa for Slade, doesn't it? I think Farrell is expected to be fit in time, Slade hasn't exactly been ripping up trees for Exeter either. Once again we look decidedly thin at 12

Yeah sure Brown got stood up badly in that clip, but Goode is an absolute turnstile in defence. You could argue for Goode at 15 on the basis of distribution but there's no way you could seriously make a case for him being a better tackler than Brown, unless you're only basis for that is one 5 second...

Manu's perma- groin problem has flared up again and he's out until it settles down - so, given the history of this injury, that's zero chance for the Autumn games and the Lions tour is probably in dire jeopardy (assuming he ever recovered enough form to be selected for either). Manu was fairly shit last weekend so losing him may not be that big a deal.
