Re: Pichot v Beaumont - WR Chairman Election (Unified Thread

Australia is in the Asia-Pacific region chief. He was (maybe still is but the prospects are looking dim) trying to replace SR with his comp and link it with Asia particularly China. I understand Chinese investors were sought. Anyway you’re the guy who started every match thread for the competition s...

Re: Pichot v Beaumont - WR Chairman Election (Unified Thread

Julian I preferred your old stance on this. Knowing Pichot he is not talking about the game, he is talking about "money", and he clearly says so: “If you ask me as a businessman, the business side of it is not working". He is not thinking about the game per se but about how he (and his partners) ar...

Re: Pichot v Beaumont - WR Chairman Election (Unified Thread

Julian I preferred your old stance on this. As I'm sure you know, Julian misread the landscape then - and he's misreading it now "If rugby wants to be big and a sound business, we cannot behave like an old-school organisation. We have a group in Sydney to reopen the door, then I think all parties s...

Re: Clive Woodward slams Fiji, Samoa for backing Bill Beaumo

So obviously moving the team over to France along with our national team is a logical step. Soon we'll have our academy players, pro club team and national team all operating in one country. When we start playing our home games in our new home base in France and pocketing the cash then we will begi...

Re: Clive Woodward slams Fiji, Samoa for backing Bill Beaumo

I always find it funny when someone like Woodward, who probably watches minimal T2 rugby outside of World Cups, wants to lecture T2 nations about what is best for them. Clearly Fiji made the best choice for their interests and are now being rewarded with increased engagement with France.

There is a historical example, where the men were peaceably disarmed and removed from the building with no casualties. Some also identify that incident as the genesis of the modern gun c...

Re: Gorgodzilla Gooone!!!

In the early days of YouTube that was as close as you could get to the game in a place like the US. No rugby on TV, internet streams were essentially unwatchable, no ESPN+, and Youtube didn't have clips longer than 10 minutes, let alone full matches. That was the clip that came up when you searched...

I don’t know how much that had to do with it. Even if he had joined the party, like Trump in 2016 he still had lots of policies at odds with the establishment. Democrats have a popular ex-president who was able to influence the contest behind the scenes with an unprecedented consolidation and endors...

Last two picks Epenesa to the Bills and Dobbins to the Ravens. A couple of steals. Both should have an impact next year on good teams.
