My sister has done a fair bit and worked out shit going back to the early 1700s on my Father's Mother's side. My mum's side is a bit weird as they moved out to Australia from Holland, via Indonesia, after WW2...plus, my real grandfather was estranged so we don't know too much about him. Interestingl...

A try, or a linebreak. Equally, if they were in a realistic place to take the intercept then its not anything. I don't think a penalty try can be awarded for preventing a line break? I thought you were talking a card. I was asking about a penalty try. Awarded when a probable try was prevented (and ...

Jesus Christ, mate. He wasn't executed on the spot. He spent 10 minutes in a chair on the sideline. He knew the risks. High risk...high reward. If he managed to latch on, he would have run 100m and scored. He knew that if me missed the ball, the Reds would score. He also knew that if he knocked it o...

Re: Deliberate knock on - law(s)?

Is a player making a realistic attempt to recover the ball from a chargedown? nope, the only difference is you are allowed to cynically knock the ball downwards off a kick, but not a pass. Similarly, a defender is allowed to cynically knock the ball out of an attacking players hands if they are hol...

I saw two examples on the weekend. In the Canes - Force match in the last passage of play a Hurricanes player slapped a ball down that was being offloaded by a Force player. He knocked it backwards though and the Canes got it and scored. That's fine. Last night with a 2 on 1 overlap and certain try ...
