Rob Evans is a very well liked member of the squad and a big character. Hope this doesn’t upset the Apple cart too much.

Rumours are that Rob is fully fit - just not selected. I guess we only had one first choice (out of position) take the field yesterday then!

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
In fairness, to JJ Williams, I thought he was right. We’ve no hope of winning a World Cup with Biggar at 10.
Might be interesting seeing biggar in a Farrell 12 selection. Doubt that would happen with Anscombe unavailable now though.

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
Assuming the Wail is correct, who is now our starting #10? Biggar is obviously the main man, but can he get his team moving like Patchell does? Is it still the role he played with Anscombe? One game doesn't mean Patchell is back, nor that Jarrod is out, but can we rely just on that to say he should...

Ireland’s mixed C-B team should have put at least 40 pts on Wales today. The disallowed forward pass try on the 5m line was one missed opportunity. Should have gotten at least one more try from the 5m attacking scrums. Wales seemed to take mostly all of their pts. Furlong Best Henderson Ryan Toner ...

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
After the initial depression I think today actually went great for us. Patchell and Tomos Williams seriously impressed from the bench. Not only have they provided an easy squad choice for Gatland but they’ll be pushing Davies and Biggar all the way for a starting berth. Beard and Shingler likewise r...

Interesting that it’s such a problem Wales being number one when they haven’t beaten just NZ. We haven’t played them in years - largely because NZ ask too much of the gate when playing away. Wales at the moment are the French Army before WW2. Highly rated in theory. Top defensive line. Famous generals in charge. But won’t last a month in proper big boy combat. I fear you may be right. I think it’s highly likely that Ireland will win both these games. The experimental sides will play in Wales, which negates Wales home advantage, not to mention that there appear to be a few first teamers in Ireland’s “experimental” side. Then, when they go full strength the week after, Ireland have...
