Re: First SPRINGBOK Squad Announced

True to his nature, AC makes the most conservative choice. Who else would be considered a nailed on selection (or near enough) and also have some experience captaining a top flight side? It was always going to be the Beast or Strauss wasn't it? The calls for WW were just wishful thinking. He'll be ...

Re: First SPRINGBOK Squad Announced

My issues with the squads Bongi ahead of Marx Nic Groom ahead of Ross Cronje - in fact Cronje not in either squad Steven Kitshoff - no reason to pull in an uncapped player from overseas Agree Marx better than all 3 hookers but will replace scarra. Ross Cronje and P van Zyl better than Groom AC rewa...

Too often last night he drifted out to the wing to seagull. He was wearing the number 13 but on at least 8 or 9 occasions last night he pushed his wingers in & settled outside. Seagulling ?. The winning lady on the first one was called Matilda FFS. She actually comes across quite nice and unboganish tbf. They were recently on Fair Go doing an Ikea flat pack challenge... If you pick anyone a bit out of the ordinary, there's no way of knowing if you're rating on ability or not. Then the discussion ends up not being about rugby, and the thread goes to shit. "Notshe/Kolisi/Tera" are not similar players at all. I agree there isn't enough solid information to base it on...

Claassens is an interesting shout. We didn't get a proper look at him while Reinach was still healthy but the Sharks looked very good in New Zealand with him at the helm. Though I still think Faf is in the 9 jersey at this point.

Thought Reddan was key in the first 15. I thought Ulsters centres were grand bar a couple of dropped balls. Serious gainline from both which was negated by lack of it from elsewhere. Leinster were far better elsewhere though which gave their backs more room. All round better team won. You can't say...

Random thoughts: I thought Ringrose was quite handy, though I'm not sure his slipperiness will translate to test rugby. He most likely would have been smashed long before regaining the gainline on the Heaslip try. Ian Henderson is the real deal. Sexton outplayed Paddy Jackson. Other than the one scr...
