Saw the thread title, thought it was about one of the lesser known Gilbert & Sullivan songs. Disappointed.

Anyway, good luck with the arse invasion.

Re: Ban tackling in rugby at school

I can see both sides, tackling has become a lot harder than I remember it from school and mini rugby - much higher up the body and more forceful. You see it trickling down from how the professional game has evolved (and we don't need reminding of the number of injuries occurring there). I stopped ta...

Re: Deviated Septum and smell

I had a deviated septum from getting a cricket ball smack on the nose (a top edged beamer since you ask) in my early 20s, it quite restricted one nostril, I don't think it affected my sense of smell. The doctor at the time said I should wait until I stopped playing sports before having it sorted. A ...

Off to see the Dead Kennedys next month, saw them a couple of years ago and they were great.

Thinking of taking the 12 and 14 year old's along, part of the ongoing indoctrination process - their first 'proper' gig.

Any boardies have experience of taking their kids along, does it work?

In our first rat pogrom the only one we saw was an enormous one on next doors' lawn, which we disposed of as he was a housebound pensioner.

You could also use it as an excuse to get an air rifle/crossbow, night sight and bottle of whisky.
