Re: Moern Civilisation Potentially Goooonnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeee
Oh this better not happen in the next few weeks...Ive got my honeymoon to the States in early May and I'll be right f**ked off if half the country is f**ked after the supervolcano goes off. Hopefully it can wait til June to blow.

Re: Australia - SANZARs saviour?
Most Aussies don't really give two shits about Rugby so I can't see how they will be SANZARS saviour. I have to admit though, that when Aussie were at the peak of their powers back in the 90s and early 2000s, I don't think I have enjoyed rugby more than that time period. These days a win over Aussie...

Re: Izzy Folau's overrated
As an All Blacks fan, Folau scares me more than any other Australian player in recent memory. I don't like praising Aussie players, goes against my Kiwi genes, but he's already ridiculously good and has made the transition to rugby look easier than just about any other league convert. I just hope he...

Re: OFFICIAL Plucky Western Force v Defending Champions Chie
Even with all those injuries the Chiefs can put out a very strong looking team. But the Force don't appear to be mugs this year so the Chiefs will have to play well to win. I think the Chiefs will win a close one, but I wouldn't be surprised at a loss here.

Re: The Intellectual Snobbery of Conspicuous Atheism
What annoys people is Preaching. I'm what I would describe as an apathetic agnostic, aka - you can't prove the existence of god, so why bother worrying about it. Religions almost certainly arose to help people explain the unexplainable. There will always be things that are unexplainable, so religio...

Re: The Intellectual Snobbery of Conspicuous Atheism
I have to admit I am an atheist, and I am a snob towards people who are religious. I think they are brainwashed and deluded. Just as I think anyone who believes in ghosts and fairies and anything supernatural is deluded. But, for the most part, I keep my thoughts to myself. Also, the idea that you h...

Re: IRB Player of the Year 2014
It's hard for a one eyed Kiwi to admit, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Folau won IRB player of the year this year. It may depend on how the Wallabies go this year though.

Re: Sam Burgess crushes SBW again!
One early season game means fuckall in the scheme of things. Burgess ran right over SBW last year, but who won the title? The Rabbits will be contenders for sure this year, but the Roosters will too. In regards to Inglis, in my 30 odd years of watching league and rugby, he is one of the top players ...

Re: Towny's Weight Loss Programme
I haven't heard of the 5:2 Diet till now but funnily enough, I've practically been doing it the last few months anyway. As I have got older, I've enjoyed eating less and less. Some days, I can't be bothered eating much and I don't. I'm really lazy when it comes to preparing meals, if it takes more ...

Re: 6 South African teams + 1 Argentine for new Super Rugby
The sooner rugby administrators realise bigger and more isn't better, the sooner we'll have a Southern Hemisphere club/provincial competition we can all be proud of. Money talks, but what the fans want doesn't seem to matter. So I'm not expecting to be proud of any competition we have down this way ...

Just finished up playing the Elder Scrolls Online beta (MMO) Holy amazing batman Being a Bethesda tragic, I am expecting big things from this. Feedback so far has been largely terrible. Pricing model is going to kill it stone dead. I gave ESO Beta a lash on the weekend. I thought it was quite good....

Re: Have we reached Peak Arrogance?
I'm not sure if peak arrogance can ever be reached but with the current winning streak, well who knows where things could go? What if the ABs go unbeaten into and throughout 2013? What if they maintain a 90%+ winning percentage over the next few years and win consecutive World Cups? Those things are...

Not sure about best ever but a couple I’ve read recently were excellent. Open by Andre Agassi was one of the better sports autobios I’ve read and Scar Tissue by Anthony Keidis was an incredible read. How that man is alive and still functioning is amazing.

Re: The Official Jokes Thread
Read this on the old forum. A simple joke, yet one of my all time favorites: A man walks into a shop and says to the woman behind the counter "Give me a Kit-Kat Chunky". The woman reaches down and gets a Kit-Kat Chunky and hands it to him. The man says "No, I wanted a normal Kit-Kat you fat slut".

Re: Cricket: Protea tour to NZ
As usual, in home conditions, I expect the Craps to do pretty well in the T20s and ODIs - They could realistically win both of those series. I'd much rather win the ODI series though. In the tests, its a whole different ball game. It would be a fantastic achievement for this Craps side to beat SA in...

Re: Game Reviews
Have really been enjoying Skyrim but it still has a few issues, particularly the user interface/inventory management. Combat is also not great although can still be satisfying.
I'm looking forward to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. That looks like it could really take my focus away from Skyrim.
