Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Isn't Barbeary a bit of a unit? Yep - pretty mobile though - started as a centre, then Hooker now Backrow. 24 tries in 35 senior appearances !! Bad injury profile! Rumours of Daly and Ford starting, Tuilagi to bench. Tbh as expected. He's keeping continuity. Do I actually rate Muir or Roebuck, in r...

Well, I'd like to see Roebuck given a chance. Worry if he's fast enough to deal with Baille Bairrey though.
I think we have half a chance, but in the next squad selection can we please have more faster wingers like Waboso?
Is it just Radwan who has express pace?

It's also the psychology for the team too. When steward plays, it's mentally easy for the on field leaders to ask up and unders all the time. It's a comfort zone or blanket that they go to regardless of the tactics.
With furbank that's not an option, so we default to wanting to run it.

When the option is Steward, i'm teamFurbank. Steward is the Faz of fullbacks. Faz and Steward are better than that. Happy that we've moved on to open up our style of play but no point knocking those players etc. Also long term I'd like Josh Hodge to be looked at, once he's bulked up a couple of cyc...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Furbank reminds me of Daly's first season at fullback for England (around 2018-19) - initially quite effective as teams had gotten used to handling Mike Brown, but always a sense that there's significant shortcomings in his high-ball and defence that could be exposed once teams figure him out When ...

There's some hate for Crowley online which is typical and bizarre at the same time. He had a generally ok game with really excellent contributions in attack. This is despite being behind a whipped pack. Crowley wasn't the issue at all, it was the backrow getting beat up all 80 mins which did the da...

Anyway. Back to the game. Really happy. Attacked looked pretty handy. Basic in many respects but I'm happy enough with that. Played with a desire to go wide, keep the ball alive and with intent. All I can ask for in the short term. Irelands backrow got bitchslapped which I didn't expect at all. Gene...

In light of today's selection, could this actually be part of a continuation of Borthwick transitioning his team to a more well rounded one, or is it some sort of semi-desperation gambit based on how he plans opposition-specific tactics?
