I knew, Miley, a bit of a weak big time performer was doomed when the BBC commentator said she might get gold. She wasn't ever close

Re: London 2012 official OLYMPICS discussion thread
It's over for Team GB now. The olympic champion should be in the break away group. They stuck to the tactics they broadcasted weeks ahead to everybody, tactics known that a breakaway could scupper and that is exactly what happened. Arrogance and complacency. Success can breed a lack of self-evaluat...

GB are losing more time now and one guy has dropped off. I think they may have made a tactical error and misread the danger of that initial breakaway.

An interesting position this. If this group GB tactiuc doesn't work I wonder if the women's cycle team, who have the same tactic tomorrow, will stick to it. i read both teams accepted a successful breakaway is the big weakness in their tactics and the women's team is essentially planning to sacrafic...

I wondering if the GB team is victim of BBC over hype ruining things with "greatest team of all time" stuff in the build-up. Still a long way to go. You mean the whole team or the Cycling lads? Cycling definitely -the TDF has ramped up the interest and hype massively. I dont think the rest of the G...

In this road race, the biggest negative for the breakaway and the good news for Team GB is that they don't have sprinters with them right?
