What? Not get dragged in to the Euro? Or not get dragged into further political convergence? The former is a ridiculously narrow aim for the negotiations and the latter wasn't achieved by the negotiations. Not get dragged in to any crisis or further monetary integration. Re: The OFFICIAL 2017-18 Ashes Thread

England are goosed if they can't take a wicket on days 4&5 of a test match. The time has come to find alternatives for Broad and Anderson and I can see their test careers under threat after this tour, or maybe even on it. Cook is also looking like yesterday's man. Not sure what else the selectors ca...

It was, without any doubt, an unequivocal red card. Once spotted the ref had no choice but to send him off. Shoulder to head in such a blatant and dangerous way is a red card offence.

There is no debate to be had.

He lead with his shoulder. It's a clear red card. It's not marginal. It's not debatable. As soon as he made contact with the head area he was gone. It's was a shame for the game but that's not the ref's fault. Blame the player. The ref had no choice. It was a clear red card. Oh well that settles th...

Re: Six Nations (2018) Forecast

It's Ireland's to lose. Those three home games in the middle will ensure they come to Twickenham undefeated. I think they have the knowhow to beat us there. England and Scotland fight it out for second and the Murrayfield match will decide that. Unknowns are Wales and France. Italy, sadly, not compe...

Well quite. The status quo was never on the table and the biggest porkies of the Ref were told by those who wanted to pretend it was. The Eurozone has to either walk away from the euro or move to fiscal consolidation. There are no other sensible options. And only a lunatic would want to be in a two...

You don't need to leave the EU to do that, so it begs the question of why you haven't done it before now. Budget constraints perhaps?

Generally I don't think most people care now and just want it over asap. This is a direct decision by the UK people that parliament wouldn't have voted for, except by asking the people first.
