Leinster confirm Ringrose is out 4-5 months. http://www.leinsterrugby.ie/ringrose-ruled-out-for-4-5-months/ baffling that they delayed his op for a worthless tour of japan. I more surprised they risked him being out of the AIs instead. Probably means Payne to 13 for the AIs with Aki at 12. Fixed. A...

he did better than i expected at scrumtime Mcgrath best and furlong are a better drilled scrummaging unit than the lions. i thought furlong would come under a lot of pressure. he did in the aviva in Nov with retallick and whitelock back in the row he's a relative novice for a TH, if he stays injury ...

yeh, he played well
so did Lawes when he came on, and we'll never know with henderson.
you'd expect AWJ to never be anything less that good if he's getting selected ahead of those lads

AWJ is the only call the wrangles the rest of the marginal calls you can argue back and forth but there's reason behind them. AWJ has not earned the shirt this tour so that's disappointing. He's not the Jonno/POC figure that warrants picking in a do or die situation, despite what Gatland wants to be...

fairly misleading
i listened to the piece, and although he certainly disagreed with Gatland, he wasnt "hammering" into him. if anything he didnt seem to have anything against gatland at all
edit: it comes off a lot worse in print

id be tempted to start all 3 of itoje lawes and henderson. if ever there were lads playing like the proverbial "test match animal"
it'll be one way to go after the contact zone anyway, and losing nothing in the lineout
would also be tempted to play best for 50 as well to attack the breakdown

Best either starts or not in the squad at all I think both Warburton and Best will start this Saturday. Need to slow the AB's down as much as possible, which Best will thrive off. It'll let Warburton carry a bit as well as do some slowing down too. Plus with no POM, which seems likely, Best will be...
