he did better than i expected at scrumtime Mcgrath best and furlong are a better drilled scrummaging unit than the lions. i thought furlong would come under a lot of pressure. he did in the aviva in Nov with retallick and whitelock back in the row he's a relative novice for a TH, if he stays injury ...

when sam cane knocked out henshaw i thought the yellow was fair as there wasnt clear intent. looking at that, because naholo has gotten hurt you can argue a yellow but there is f8ck all intent in that, no swinging arm etc

i guess its the coaches preference. They obviously dont trust best at lineout which is fair enough considering some big misses while playing for those coaches in red. id stick best on the bench. dont think Owens brings much to the party. would consider Henderson on the bench over Stander the win glosses over what was a very sloppy first 50/60mins but hard to make changes after a win like that edit. Funny guy, shit coach. Borthwick seems to have a good influence on line out but i'm starting to think he's giving ball carrying lessons on the sly... Rowntree came out of the last Lions tour and the pre-Lancaster England era with a lot of credit , by all accounts a very popular and forward-thinking...
