For all the worries and concerns about tough tour and pitching the effort etc., these games are just getting better and better. That Maori side looks very very tasty and I'm a little chubby thinking about Saturday's game.

Eddie's successor should be being introduced to the system now. Strikes me continuity of approach is key. If you're investing a lot into these lads at 18-20 years old, surely you want to make sure that investment continues rather than get the latest overseas big shot who might just tear it all up a...

Baxter is an interesting one for me. He's already done some international coaching with England, and would benefit from a 'chief-in-waiting' role alongside Eddie in the run up to Eddie leaving, but there's plenty of time for that and, in the meantime, he can continue to focus on developing his club ...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

If Farrell has the kind of Lions tour I'm expecting him to have, I think he could easily assume captaincy of the England side on his return.

That frees up the hooker slot for George, LCD, Taylor and the full back slot for Watson, Daly, Nowell etc. The rest of the co-captains think can do one.

I never really rated him before, but he's formed a great partnership alongside Danny Cips as a 2nd 5/8, rather than a bosher 12, and the extra time/space seems to suit him well. It's great for Wasps, as they have 2 good playmaking options that pose markedly different threats.
