Despite the run of losses by Wales there have been plenty of tight games. I'm picking another close one with Australia taking it.

After the expectation of so many past world cups in a strange way not being confident gives me confidence. I back us to peak at the right time but if a better team beats us, so be it. I'll be pretty disappointed if we go out without upping our game though.

It surprises me that this game was last, wouldn't it have been better to have the Welsh game last so that England could in theory remain in the comp till at least the last pool round, how and why did they decide it was a good idea to put two must win games so early in the pool stage considering the...

AB fans have every reason to view the knock out stages with trepidation. While I know they can step it up a few notches, the error-ridden play, the number of under-performing regulars, the run of injuries already... it doesn't bode well. The overall performance of the ABs over the last 2-3 years ha...

Tasman are done. Canterbury are 90% likely to win the title. naki at 8%. Auckland at 2%. I'm a bit biased, but the Naki did beat Canterbury in Christchurch only a week ago. Steve Hansen has explained everything. They're bringing pressure on themselves to simulate what they may experience later in the tournament and don't want to give too much away too early. After yesterday lets hope we're not relying on basic handling when the heat is really on. It's fine in theory bu...

As I said on many occasions the Boks will win the cup. You saw the template today, with big guys doing the basics well. World Cup debutant only. Test two overall.

Didn't Doug Howlett score with his first touch of the ball in Test rugby? I'm not sure how long he'd been on though. Codie Taylor had one ruled out followed by a real one pretty quickly on debut too.
