Re: Namibia v Georgia

Was that 3 penalties in the red zone.....could have been a fourth......looked like a penalty try to me as the blue flanker came off the scrum early.

Clancy is getting crap feedback from the line umpire, especially scrum feeds from Namibia.

Re: Official AB's v Georgia RWC Thread.....

Seven tries to one......if penalties had been taken.......I counted a possible 62 there today. I would have been upset if the 40 points had have been made up of 3 converted tries and 7 penalties. If anything, waiting round is not how most of our rugby is played like in this tournament.......we play ...

Re: if Ireland beat the all blacks in this tourney

I realise this is off topic......story in Stuff tonight.... Veteran horse racing commentator George Simon interrupted his call of the fourth race on the card at Tauranga on Wednesday to tell a joke. Not captivated by the four-horse field, which made the race a glorified trial, Simon saw it as an opp...

Re: Interesting Kiwi view of Barnes

Barnes was ok in NZ v Argies.

Allowed the game to flow and pulled yellows at the right time for dumb decisions

He did all that can be expected of a ref......be consistent within the current game.

However....not all referees can be consistent across the code.

Top game.....best I've seen for a while. Big Ups  to Japanese backline for magic for Goromaru's try.....would have scored that against ANY international team. Just read this article in Stuff NZ about Form Book stats.......interesting....... CanNZ may be on to something. FORM IS NO GUIDE Ominously for New Zealand fans, the other World Cups where the All Blacks had similar lead-in form were 1991 and 2007. The All Blacks entered the 1991 tournament in Englan...

Yup Marmight.......locally produced TV in NZ is pretty lightweight so wouldn't expect too much kiwi stuff to be found on your channels. British produced stuff here is number one in the household, aussie drama (exception flossy stuff like the soaps and reality shows) is reasonable, and the rest of th...

Only once. Married 15 months later.....42 years ago. Have a great life together with lots of laughs and family around us. She was big into sport, captaining representative teams. I was also, and did not have her talent, so lucky for us the kids benefitted from her genes not mine. Planning soon to bu...

Re: RWC: New Zealand vs Argentina: September 20th: Wembley

Agree with AC that this is close to best to use first game up. Having watched the argies this year, and know barnes will be reffing, there's a cuppla things nz can expect: five metre linout rumbles, shots at goal from set play penalties, and droppies. AB's would be wise to play their natural fast di...
